Dr. Okonkwo was the reason I stayed in Computer Science. I arrived in my first year convinced I had made the wrong choice — intimidated by the coursework, the pace, the competition. It was Dr. Okonkwo who sat with me after class one Thursday afternoon and said, in that quiet, certain way of hers: 'You belong here. Now let us prove it.'

On behalf of the University Management, the Senate and the entire Bells University community, I wish to express our profound gratitude to three individuals whose combined service spans nearly eight decades of institutional history. They arrived when this institution was still finding its footing, and they stayed — never wavering in their commitment to excellence.

The Alumni Association stands in solidarity with every student and staff member touched by the careers of our three honourees. We are the product of their labour. Every result we achieved, every certificate we earned, every career we have built — these are inseparable from the environment these three helped create and sustain.
